Color Box

Until the 20th century, Shaker oval boxes were mostly colored, such as yellow, orange, or green. It is believed that this was because the color made it easy to identify the contents of the box. Apart from the functional reasons, colorful boxes should lift our spirits and bring a sense of freshness to our busy modern lives.

IFUJI Online Store will release a special color box in one color every month throughout the year, starting in 2025. The first box in January will be in two colors, red and white, to celebrate the new year.

[Light Red]
A light red color that is perfect for the arrival of the New Year.

[White (chalk powder)]
I used "gofun," an ancient Japanese white pigment made from powdered seashells. It has a soft grayish white color, like the soft sunlight of the New Year.
