TOWEL RACK

The original towel rack, a Shaker furniture design, is a useful tool that can be used for more than just hanging towels. It can also be used to hang everyday clothes, bags, and hats, or as a partition by hanging a cloth on it, making it useful in a variety of situations.

It's only 4cm thick when folded, so it can be easily stored in a small space when not in use, and it can also be placed against a wall corner without getting in the way.

The long, thin 2cm square components are prone to bending over time, and ensuring the strength of the joints is an issue. IFUJI solves these problems by using high-quality solid wood that has grown straight, and assembling it with a traditional joint called "through tenon" + "split wedge."

The wedges at the joints of the topmost nuki (struts) are made of wood of a different color, creating an accent. The folding parts use solid brass hinges that have been made in Osaka for many years.

The paint is impregnated with water-resistant water glass, taking into consideration the hanging of wet towels, and finished with vegetable oil.

The materials used are heavy, solid oak and cherry, which has smooth skin and a beautiful tan color.
